Learning Hub
The Learning Hub is your gateway to understanding marine conservation and the vital role of marine mammals in our ecosystem.
The Driver Training
NIMMSA offers Driver Training materials designed to support safe, responsible, and consistent on-water practices across our membership.
These resources are intended to help captains and crew deepen their understanding of marine mammal viewing guidelines, vessel operation best practices, and respectful behavior on the water.
We encourage all operators to review the material and use it as part of your team’s preseason preparation and ongoing training.

Mugging Information
"Mugging" occurs when whales, particularly Humpbacks, interact with vessels, sometimes impeding movement. These encounters pose risks to both animals and boaters, and are more common when whales are not feeding or resting.
Learn how to prevent and respond to these situations in our best practices guide.
