NIMMSA funding allowed OrcaLab to purchase and deploy a new hydrophone integrated into its existing monitoring network. The system enhances the detection and recording of cetacean vocalizations in northern Vancouver Island waters, strengthening long-term acoustic monitoring and research capacity.
