NIMMSA Conservation Fund Project

Pinniped Entanglement Prevention Forum MERS will plan and host the first multi-stakeholder forum focused on reducing pinniped entanglement in plastic packing bands — an issue affecting an estimated 400+ pinnipeds at any given time along coastal BC. The forum will bring together fish harvesters, First Nations, researchers, DFO, and conservation groups to identify sources of this debris and develop a shared action plan.
